Bybit, the globe's third-ranking crypto exchange by visitor count, celebrated the successful wrap-up of its first Inter-College Hackathon at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). The event drew enthusiastic participation, with the CryptoAI BUILDER Challenge serving as the competitive arena. 
The hackathon showcased 63 students across 15 teams, culminating with accolades for six teams, split between two distinct challenge tracks. 'Cyber ciphers,' 'Team 7,' and 'Code Comet (Sato_Bot)' reigned in the Literacy track, while 'WhiteHats,' 'Cyber Guardians,' and 'DEDSEC' triumphed in the Security track. The winners demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity, underscoring the hackathon's role in nurturing upcoming tech talents. 
Bybit's involvement in this event is part of its vision to be the Crypto Ark of the world, contributing significantly to the event's AED 80,000 prize pool and instituting the Bybit Scholarship at AUS. This scholarship is poised to launch 20 students into the thriving fields of fintech and blockchain. 
Ben Zhou, Bybit's co-founder and CEO, remarked, “Our alliance with AUS and the remarkable talent showcased during the hackathon reaffirm our conviction that the young are the cornerstones of tech innovation. We are honored to back these young talents who have displayed extraordinary abilities and foresight, aligning with our commitment to be the world's Crypto Ark and ensure a secure passage to Web3.” 
Dr. Imran Zualkernan, the head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at AUS, emphasized the significance of blockchain and AI for the UAE's economy, lauding the hackathon as a pivotal platform for students nationwide to engage with these pivotal technologies. He expressed gratitude towards Bybit and Moledao for their pivotal roles in the hackathon's success.
