The crypto world has been a volatile space since its inception, and investors have always looked for ways of predicting the market.&nbsp;
Major focuses have been historical data, among other bizarre ways, including fortune telling! This might come as a non-technical way of market prediction, but considering people’s beliefs, it’s not a new idea for market prediction.
A Thai Fortune teller also predicted the market trend last year that might be in effect late this year, sourcing his information from the “gods” while focusing on market recovery. Expert analysis and fundamental and technical analysis have all been the go-tos for investors in market prediction, but the people of Thailand have now incorporated a new way of market prediction that involves divine signals and tarot cards.&nbsp;

In trying to understand the up and down movements in the digital market, Thai investors have looked to divine ways that involve the use of cognitive forces. Suggesting the use of the human <a href="https://experiment.com/projects/can-our-unconscious-minds-predict-the-stock-market" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">unconscious</a> mind through “precognitive dreaming,” as others use artificial intelligence (AI) involving chatbots.&nbsp;
Thailand appeared to be turning to these divine powers as well as astrological signs in telling the future for stock and crypto investments. This has shockingly been a new way of knowing the market trend, and social media followers have proven this to be true, as highlighted in a thread on <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/175lk5v/its_not_a_joke_there_is_a_group_of_crypto_traders/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Reddit.&nbsp;</a>
Another instance is Pimfah, a Thailand astrologist with over 150,000 members in his Facebook group who ask for and send tarot card readings. Others even ask for clarification on what their readings mean and their implication in the crypto market.&nbsp;
Ajarn Ton, another self-proclaimed fortune teller, has a channel on YouTube with over 26,000 subscribers. He uploads videos where he attempts to predict crypto market prices using astrology.&nbsp;
His recent prediction was on Terraform Labs collapsing Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) and will expect a surge of nearly 50,000% from its current value of $0.000055 as it could hit the $0.029 mark.

How true are the tarot cards reads in Thailand? Many on Reddit showed high levels of skepticism around the matter. One Reddit user said, “Just like regular astrology, they take some random, uncorrelated data and then try to piece it together and “find a pattern.”
Well, on occasion, these productions turn out to be accurate in some sense. One such accurate prediction was made by Mor Plai, another high-profile fortune teller who made local headlines from her 2022 August prediction of the <a href="https://www.cryptopolitan.com/bitcoins-dominance-records-a-2-year-high/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto market recovery </a>that was to start in November.&nbsp;
This comes in as somewhat accurate, despite the trial around the FTX collapse that stunned the crypto community.&nbsp;
Considering the technical mindset employed by most crypto investors, comments on the prediction method using tarot cards and divine signals are largely doubted, as witnessed by enthusiasts on Reddit.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Skeptics on the platform shared their views, one stating, “Put out enough vague predictions, and you gotta be right eventually.”&nbsp;
Another commented, joking on the strategy, “If a hamster can perform better than most adults, I don’t see why we shouldn’t try astrology,”
The spiritual beliefs would likely attract Western skeptics, but the Thai population that believed in divine spiritual norms covers over <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/09/12/5-facts-about-religion-in-south-and-southeast-asia/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">80%</a> of its population. Additionally, using astrology in market prediction has been done before, as the United States TikTok astrologer Maren Altman gained a huge following on social media based on her Bitcoin price predictions.&nbsp;
Another instance is the Dutch-born Bitcoiner Didi Taihuttu, who’s also a BTC family patriarch, liquidated all her assets in 2017 and has lived off <a href="https://www.cryptopolitan.com/police-catch-50000-bitcoin-silk-road-thief/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin </a>since then. She applies a homebrewed market indicator that uses moon cycles alongside directional trading in underfunding buy and sell levels for Bitcoin.&nbsp;
According to some crypto enthusiasts on Reddit, it’s possible to have an indirect relation between crypto prices and astrology.&nbsp;
