Prominent legal figures in the crypto community are now speculating about the U.S.&nbsp; Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s limited chances of winning on appeal in the case with Ripple Labs. This development comes <a href="https://coinedition.com/insiders-sec-still-bent-on-fighting-ripple-xrp-despite-waiving-trial/">amid the recent dismissal of the trial against two Ripple executives.&nbsp;</a> 
In a recent tweet, attorney Jeremy Hogan argued that, by and large, the SEC vs. Ripple case is over, noting that the regulator already withdrew a critical trial in the case. In his words: 
“The facts have been set. Nothing new or surprising will be coming out, which means the court will be issuing a Final Judgment (probably) sometime next year.”
