<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/stronghold-digital-mining-hits-3-0-eh-s-hash-rate-milestone/">Stronghold</a> Digital Mining, a vertically integrated Bitcoin mining company, announced its operational and financial updates for September 2023. The <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/terawulf-soars-to-record-revenue-with-330-btc-mined-in-july-2023/">company mined</a> 196 Bitcoin and generated an additional $0.2 million in energy revenue. This energy revenue is equivalent to 7 more Bitcoin, bringing the total to 203 Bitcoin for the month, according to <a href="https://ir.strongholddigitalmining.com/news-releases/news-release-details/stronghold-announces-bitcoin-mining-update-and-frontier-managed">strongholddigitalmining</a>. 
However, <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/stronghold-digital-mining-hits-3-0-eh-s-hash-rate-milestone/">Stronghold</a> faced an unplanned outage at its Scrubgrass power plant. This affected both the plant and data center operations. Despite this setback, the company chose to extend the outage to conduct additional maintenance. Consequently, the data center resumed full operations after a week, importing power from the PJM Interconnection grid. 
After resuming operations, Stronghold achieved an all-time high <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">hash rate</a> of 3.5 EH/s, up 15% from August. The company also complied with a PJM directive to reduce its power imports for a 10-day period starting October 11, 2023. This is due to transmission line work in the area. Stronghold plans to restart the Scrubgrass Plant soon to minimize the impact of the PJM directive. 
In addition to overcoming operational challenges, Stronghold has entered into a Managed Services Agreement with Frontier Mining. Frontier will provide services like monitoring, operating, and maintaining Stronghold's <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/crypto-miners-shift-gears-ai-is-the-new-gold-rush/">data centers</a> at both the Scrubgrass and Panther Creek power plants. Greg Beard, CEO of Stronghold, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating it would bring the company closer to industry-leading uptime. 
For the future, Stronghold expects to produce between 205 to 215 Bitcoin in October 2023, excluding <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/crypto-mining-with-flare-gas-a-green-solution-or-environmental-setback/">electricity</a> sales. The company also anticipates over 20% average <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">hash rate</a> growth in Q4 2023 compared to Q3 2023. 
With these strategic moves and partnerships, Stronghold Digital Mining is not just overcoming challenges but is also setting itself up for significant growth. The company's focus on environmentally beneficial operations and its new partnership with Frontier Mining signal a robust and sustainable future in the Bitcoin <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/texas-residents-challenge-bitcoin-mining-industrys-impact-on-power-grid-and-communities/">mining industry</a>.
