Sphere

Sphere 3D Corp. recently revealed impressive growth in its Bitcoin mining operations. The <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/terawulf-soars-to-record-revenue-with-330-btc-mined-in-july-2023/">company mined</a> 63.6 Bitcoin in September 2023, marking a substantial 473% increase YoY. This growth also represents a 9.1% uptick from August's figures, according to <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/pr/19494601-sphere-3d-corp-provides-september-2023-production-and-operation-updates?hasComeFromMpArticle=false">seekingalpha</a>. 
While its Bitcoin mining thrived, Sphere 3D has been grappling with legal challenges. Last year, they initiated arbitration against <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-mining-giant-core-scientific-prepares-for-post-bankruptcy-comeback/">Core Scientific</a> over allegations of breach of contract. Core responded by filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December 2022. Sphere 3D's claims met resistance in May 2023 when Core objected. However, a court decision in August rejected Core's motion for summary judgment. The case is set for a merits hearing in early 2024, and Sphere 3D remains steadfast in its intent to prosecute. 
In another twist, Sphere 3D terminated its Master Services Agreement with Gryphon Digital Mining, Inc. The decision took effect immediately on October 6, 2023.
