<p>Bons also points a finger at the GitHub platform, which he refers to as a “virtual dictatorship.” According to him, this platform allows shadow leaders to hide behind a supposed meritocracy. This limits the ability of users and the community to influence important decisions related to the Ethereum blockchain.</p>

This helps prevent excessive centralization, such as that seen in the Ethereum blockchain.</p> 
<p>Conversely, he believes that off-chain governance (based on traditional policies) lacks mechanisms for democratic protection. According to him, decision-making must be distributed fairly and accessible to all network participants to ensure the development of a blockchain and cryptocurrency.</p> 
<p>Justin Bons compares Ethereum blockchain developers (who oppose on-chain governance) to feudal lords, dictators, or monarchs opposing a constitution. He believes that this internal resistance aims to protect their power and control over the protocol.
