<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitfarms-set-to-boost-mining-capacity-with-quebec-expansion/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitfarms</a> Ltd, a key player in the Bitcoin mining arena, announced a 7.3% increase in Bitcoin <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">production</a> for September 2023. They mined a total of 411 BTC, achieving a daily average of 13.7 BTC. This escalation in BTC mining was accompanied by a boost in operating capacity, rising by 9% to 233 MW, according to <a href="https://investor.bitfarms.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/211/bitfarms-mines-411-btc-in-september-2023" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">bitfarms</a>.
Despite the growth, the company’s BTC <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">production</a> is down 14.6% compared to September 2022. Geoff Morphy, <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitfarms-set-to-boost-mining-capacity-with-quebec-expansion/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitfarms</a>' CEO, indicated that delays in electrical infrastructure impacted their <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hashrate</a>, pushing it slightly below their Q3 target. Yet, Bitfarms remains optimistic, with their eyes set on potential growth around the next Bitcoin <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/heat-waves-and-halving-bitcoin-miners-cash-in-amid-rising-prices/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">halving</a> in 2024. Ben Gagnon, Chief Mining Officer, noted that new miner installations in Argentina played a crucial role in enhancing their mining efficiency.
Financially, Bitfarms reported selling 362 BTC out of the 411 mined, generating a substantial $9.5 million. Their treasury now holds 703 BTC, valued at approximately $19 million, based on the current BTC price of $27,000. Furthermore, Bitfarms reduced their total debt by $1.9 million, leaving an outstanding balance of just $9.9 million as of September 30, 2023.
In the coming months, Bitfarms plans to attend various events, including the Bitcoin Mining Council in Washington, DC, and the Benzinga Future of Crypto in November.&nbsp;&nbsp;
