The buzz around El Salvador's ambitious $1 billion renewable project grew when notable firms like <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">Tether</a> voiced their financial support. Aiming to drive Bitcoin mining using sustainable energy, this initiative shines a spotlight on the nation's commitment to eco-friendly solutions. 
<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/luxor-innovates-with-extended-contracts-and-daily-settlements-for-enhanced-bitcoin-mining/">Luxor</a>, a veteran in Bitcoin mining software, is guiding Volcano Energy in this venture. To counteract the unpredictable Bitcoin market, Luxor's <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/">Hashrate</a> Forward Marketplace will be utilized, mirroring the risk-management techniques of major mining entities. In a beneficial arrangement, 23% of Volcano Energy's mining profits will flow to the government's coffers. These earnings will also fuel enhancements in energy networks, paving the way for technological advancements. On the energy frontier, a massive 241-MW renewable park is under development in Metapán. This hub will harness 169 MWs of solar energy and 72 MWs from wind, but the project's ultimate vision lies in exploiting the nation's rich geothermal resources.
