With a knack for simplifying complex financial concepts, Dickerson explained how the <a href="https://coinpedia.org/price-prediction/bitcoin-price-prediction/">Bitcoin price</a> can fluctuate based on the actions of the Federal Reserve, the United States’ central bank.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-bitcoin-s-price-trends">Bitcoin’s Price Trends</h2> 
<p>Bitcoin, the renowned digital currency, came into existence as a response to the colossal financial crisis of 2008. Ever since its inception, its performance has been clearly linked to the policies and decisions of the <a href="https://coinpedia.org/news/pro-xrp-lawyer-john-deaton-shifts-focus-to-custodia-bank-vs-federal-reserve-battle/">Federal Reserve</a>.</p> 
<p>Dickerson highlighted a clear trend – when interest rates rise, Bitcoin’s value tends to decline, but when they fall, Bitcoin’s price experiences an upward surge. This trend was evident during the years of 2016 to 2018 when a period of stability led to favorable conditions for Bitcoin. However, in 2018, as the Federal Reserve tightened borrowing conditions, Bitcoin’s price saw a corresponding dip.</p>

<p>Dickerson also discussed a challenging period for Bitcoin in 2022 when the <a href="https://coinpedia.org/news/ftx-users-must-submit-claims-before-september-29th/">FTX exchange</a> experienced issues. This event temporarily impacted Bitcoin’s price negatively. At present, Bitcoin appears to be in a holding pattern, with the possibility of dropping to approximately $20,000 or remaining within the range of $20,000 to $30,000 unless significant developments occur.</p>

<p>He mentioned that if things like <a href="https://coinpedia.org/news/the-us-lawmakers-urge-sec-to-speed-up-bitcoin-etf-approval-process/">ETFs</a> (a way for people to invest in Bitcoin) get approved or the overall economic situation changes, Bitcoin’s price could go up again. However, it seems like the price is currently waiting to reflect the decision of the Federal Reserve, crypto legislations, economy turbulences, and more!</p>
