A play-to-earn (P2E) game is ordered to put a break on the feature of rewarding users, or gamers, on the platform for playing. The server provider for the popular video game series Minecraft, Satlantis, has been ordered by the parent company Mojang to discontinue the P2E program. The server service provider used to reward users with Bitcoin (BTC), which is likely to stop from now on.&nbsp; 
In a post over the social media platform Discord, the founder of Satlantis, David Dineno, informed about Mojang’s order. He wrote that the Minecraft developers stated that they would remove the play-to-earn functionality from the server.&nbsp; 
After informing Dineno about the latest update, he then continued by calling out the action. He criticized the move and stated that he did not want any of it to happen but did not have a choice.&nbsp; 
In a subsequent update, Dineno announced that the play-to-earn feature would be discontinued on Satlantis at 12 p.m. ET on Monday. Players were advised to withdraw their satoshis, the smallest unit of Bitcoin, from the server. However, the creators have expressed their intention to reintroduce this concept in another game, the details of which have not been finalized. 
Satlantis assured its players that it will maintain the ability to withdraw Bitcoin outside of the game even after the forthcoming deadline. Additionally, the platform pledged to transfer all earnings, in-game items, and player statuses to its new game platform, ensuring the continuity of player progress. Although Bitcoin earnings within the game will cease, Satlantis intends to remain operational for the foreseeable future. 
Dineno expressed frustration in the post, acknowledging the disappointment of the situation. However, the message also conveyed determination and resilience, emphasizing that Satlantis would endure.&nbsp; 
The post mentioned the success of ‘The Game That Shares its Profits With Players’ and pledged to transfer the Satlantis community to a platform that fosters innovation, contrasting with the alleged limitations imposed by a corporate entity. 
Satlantis reportedly had more than 2,300 players on board and gave out almost a <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2023/09/21/bitcoin-price-prediction-btc-might-crash-below-25k-analysts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> worth of rewards. Given the current trading price of BTC, this amount equates to about $26,000.&nbsp; 
The server company founder recalled an instance of a player reaching out to him and displaying disappointment since the earnings were a great help to him in the past.&nbsp;
