His referenced post has subsequently been removed. In it, Buterin supposedly expresses joy at “Proto-Danksharding coming to Ethereum.” Even though it was reported that the Twitter account had been hacked, it seems that the account was quickly reclaimed.<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-high-profile-breaches">High-profile Breaches</h3>According to reports, the hackers used a phishing link in a tweet claiming that Consensys was giving away a special <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/nft-news-lufthansa-airline-introduces-nft-loyalty-rewards-on-polygon-network/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NFT</a> to mark the arrival of “Proto-Danksharding” on Ethereum. The <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a> co-founder’s X account was compromised and PeckShieldAlert warned of a phishing URL.The hacking of <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/ethereum-co-founder-vitalik-buterin-sells-500-mkr-token/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Buterin’s</a> account is only the latest in a string of high-profile breaches involving the cryptocurrency industry. Back in July this year, the Twitter account of <a href="https://uniswap.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Uniswap’s</a> creator, Hayden Adams, was hacked.
