When asked about the potential of <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/litecoin-and-dogecoin-buck-trends-with-spikes-in-user-activity/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Dogecoin</a> switching to a proof-of-stake (PoS) mechanism, a major contributor and developer Mishaboar hinted at maybe moving away from the project. When asked whether he would stake Dogecoin if given the opportunity, he revealed this information. 
The developer is skeptical of a <a href="https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/proof-stake-pos.asp" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">PoS</a> switch due to its effectiveness. He voiced doubts about the viability and security of PoS chains, drawing on his two years of experience with Dogecoin.
