The Ethereum upgrade, EIP-4844, also known as proto-danksharding, aimed at reducing gas fees, is a great driving force for Synthetix Network (SNX), Optimism (OP), and<a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2023/08/07/borroe-roe-triumphs-over-optimism-op-and-polkadot-dot-a-new-era-in-cryptocurrency/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Borroe ($ROE).</a>

EIP-4844 makes a difference by providing a stop-gap solution for support by implementing the transaction format that would be used, though not actually sharding the transactions. 
The data from the transaction format is part of the beacon chain and is downloaded by the consensus nodes. EIP-4844 reduces the cap on the number of transactions that can be included. 
This upgrade is expected to not only help users but also significantly affect <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2023/07/25/top-5-altcoins-that-are-likely-to-outperform-in-august-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">altcoins</a>, attracting investors to interact with L2 chains. Signs are already evident in SNX and OP. 
The EIP-4844 has served to drive altcoins, with special emphasis on SNX and OP. In July 2023, SNX and OP saw weekly price growth as high as 35% and 30%, respectively. The daily timeframes saw them go up by 5% and 10%, respectively.
