LFi rolled out its first smartphone in their ecosystem, LFi One. But it is not just a typical mobile device that you see everyday — it’s a smartphone that&nbsp;can mint crypto tokens.&nbsp; 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="what-is-minting">What is Minting?&nbsp;</h2> 
Crypto minting refers to the process of&nbsp;creating new units of a particular cryptocurrency. Although the term sometimes is used interchangeably with “mining,” minting creates new tokens or coins without the need of computational work.&nbsp; 
It is an important part of the process by which new cryptocurrency units are created and added to the market, and it can occur through a variety of different mechanisms depending on the specific cryptocurrency being minted. 
In some cases, crypto minting can occur through a process called staking, which involves holding a certain amount of a cryptocurrency in a wallet or on a particular blockchain network. Stakers are then rewarded with newly minted units of the cryptocurrency, based on the amount they hold and the length of time they have held it.
