<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/hut-8s-q2-2023-a-bitcoin-mining-marvel/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hut 8</a> Mining Corp, one of North America's largest digital asset mining pioneers, has <a href="https://hut8.io/2023/08/14/hut-8-announces-receipt-of-interim-order-and-filing-of-management-information-circular-in-connection-with-the-business-combination-with-us-bitcoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announced</a> a significant step in its business combination with <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/senator-lummis-pushes-for-crypto-regulation-amid-sec-lawsuits/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">U.S.</a> Data Mining Group, Inc., also known as <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/major-bitcoin-mining-pool-foundry-usa-to-introduce-fee-structure/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">US</a> Bitcoin Corp (USBTC). The transaction will be carried out through a court-approved plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia). 
The company has obtained an interim order from the Supreme Court of British Columbia, allowing for a special meeting of the shareholders. This special meeting is scheduled for September 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. ET, and shareholders of record as of August 8, 2023, are eligible to vote. 
<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/hut-8s-q2-2023-a-bitcoin-mining-marvel/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hut 8</a> has also filed the management information circular on SEDAR and EDGAR, providing details on how shareholders can attend and participate in the special meeting. The completion of the transaction depends on shareholder approval, the final order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and other customary conditions. If all necessary approvals are obtained, the transaction is expected to be finalized by September 30, 2023. 
This business combination between <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/hut-8s-q2-2023-a-bitcoin-mining-marvel/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hut 8</a> and USBTC marks a significant development in the crypto mining industry.
