Controversial figure and prominent crypto enthusiast Andrew Tate, known for his critical stance against traditional banking systems and avid support for cryptocurrency, was released from house arrest by a Bucharest court. The social media personality, famous for his outspoken views on various issues, was awaiting trial on serious charges of human trafficking. 
Andrew Tate, a multi-millionaire, along with his brother Tristan, both notable for their significant presence on social media and substantial wealth accrued through <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/course/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto investments</a>, were placed under a more lenient judicial control by the Romanian court on August 4th, 2023. 
This decision permits the brothers to leave their residences, though they are confined to Bucharest and the neighboring Ilfov county.&nbsp;This judicial control will be in effect for a period of 60 days, lasting until October 2nd, marking a significant development in a case that has captured &nbsp;a huge attention. 
Romania’s anti-organised crime agency has accused the four defendants of forming the criminal group in 2021 with intentions to engage in human trafficking, specifically in Romania, the US, and Britain, charges which they staunchly deny. 
The agency alleges that seven women were deceived and transported to Romania, where they endured sexual exploitation and physical abuse at the hands of the gang. One of the defendants is facing additional charges of rape. 
Amidst these allegations, Andrew and Tristan Tate filed a lawsuit in July against a Florida woman, claiming that she falsely accused them of imprisoning her in Romania. This, they argue, led to their unjust arrest on human trafficking charges. The brothers are seeking a minimum of $5 million in damages in the lawsuit filed in Palm Beach county. 
The allegations led to a series of asset seizures amounting to 15 million Euros, largely composed of cryptocurrency holdings. 
As we reported before in a news article, <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/prosecutors-seek-seizure-of-565000-in-bitcoin-15-properties-and-luxury-assets-from-andrew-tate/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Romanian prosecutors instigated proceedings and they confiscate 21 Bitcoin (BTC) worth $565,000</a>, 15 high-end vehicles, 14 luxury wristwatches, and 15 properties from Tate. 
Tate has been publicly vocal about the situation on social media, tweeting:
