One of LunarCrush’s core features is tracking social engagement and trends for crypto assets across platforms like Reddit, Twitter, and Telegram. LunarCrush analyzes these platforms to deliver social metrics on over 1000 cryptocurrencies.
Some of the most valuable social metrics include social volume, measuring total mentions of crypto; social engagement, calculating reactions and comments on crypto-related posts; and sentiment, using NLP to classify discussion as positive or negative. Monitoring changes in these metrics can reveal rising enthusiasm and shifting attitudes toward crypto projects. Savvy investors can use social data to identify emerging trends and assets gaining viral momentum within community circles.
In addition to high-level social volume and sentiment, you can dive deeper into the content. LunarCrush captures key phrases and themes discussed around each crypto, providing insight into what drives community interest. You can filter social content by influencers and news sources to see what leaders say. Analyzing this qualitative data from Reddit, Telegram, and Twitter enables investors to understand the market’s pulse.

LunarCrush also synthesizes on-chain and market data to complement its social metrics. This provides a more holistic view of what is happening across the crypto landscape.
On the market data side, LunarCrush tracks price, volatility, liquidity, and other financial metrics. For on-chain data, you can analyze transactions, exchange flows, developer activity, and other blockchain-level trends.
Combining blockchain, market, and social datasets paints a fuller picture of where crypto sentiment, development, and prices may be heading. For instance, surging social volume and exchange inflows could signal a brewing rally. The heavy transactions on a network with bearish sentiment may also indicate an impending cooldown.
You can also use LunarCrush to compare metrics across assets. Identify outliers with unusually high developer activity or social engagement compared to similar crypto projects. Screen for hidden gems before they gain widespread traction based on rising community interest.
