Seo Chul-goo, also known as Xitsuh, a well-known South Korean pop star, recently opened up about his financial struggles after losing up to $77,000 on cryptocurrency investments.   
During a talk show appearance with his fiancee, Lee Young-joo, Xitsuh discussed the challenges he faced due to his crypto investments and how they impacted their wedding plans.   
This revelation sheds light on the risks associated with cryptocurrency trading even for celebrities in the entertainment industry.   
Seo Chul-goo, popularly known as Xitsuh, a South Korean pop star, rapper, and TV personality, shared his unfortunate experience of losing a significant amount of money on bad crypto investments.   
Speaking on the E Channel TV talk show "Love of a Lifetime," Xitsuh discussed his financial struggles, which were exacerbated by his investments in cryptocurrencies.   
During the show, Xitsuh's fiancee, Lee Young-joo, expressed her concern over his sleeplessness caused by the stress of crypto investments. She revealed her wish for him to refrain from further involvement in the crypto market.   
The couple, who have been together for 10 years, are currently planning their wedding, and Xitsuh had hoped to accumulate enough funds, around $240,000, to buy a house. However, his investments did not go as planned, resulting in a loss of approximately $61,230 to $77,000.   
"Love of a Lifetime" is hosted by Kim Gu-ra, a prominent South Korean entertainer, along with TV presenter Kim Min-jung. The show focuses on the financial situations of celebrity couples and invites economic experts to provide advice on wealth accumulation and investment strategies.   
Xitsuh's nervousness regarding his crypto investments was evident during the show, as he was shown closely monitoring cryptocurrency charts on PC monitors.   
Xitsuh is not the only South Korean music star to publicly express regret about crypto investments. In 2018, Park Kyung, a member of the K-pop group Block B, revealed his own financial setback due to a "foolish" Bitcoin investment. Park admitted that he had learned a valuable lesson from his experience.   
The South Korean entertainment industry has had its fair share of crypto-related controversies. Last year, the news of actress Park Min-young dating Kang Jong-hyun, a figure believed to own a significant stake in the Bithumb crypto exchange, created a buzz.   
Kang was later investigated by the police for alleged price manipulation offenses, and the case is currently under prosecution.   
Crypto investments have also found their way into South Korean dramas and movies, including the popular 2021 film "Twenty Hacker," highlighting the growing influence and interest in the crypto world in the country's entertainment industry.
