Prominent social media user Andrew Tate is currently entangled in several lawsuits in Romania. With charges of human trafficking and organized crime levied against him, it was disclosed to the public that the country’s prosecutors had seized a significant amount of his assets in <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/blackrock-eyes-bitcoin-etf-application-a-turning-point-for-crypto-market/" data-wpel-link="internal">Bitcoin</a> (BTC).&nbsp; 
Initially, reports claimed that the confiscated amount reached up to $300 million. However, this information was proven to be incorrect, resulting from a Google Translate error in the translation of a press release shared by Romanian authorities detailing Tate’s indictment and circulated by various news organizations on June 20th.&nbsp;

Particularly, the prosecutors had indeed seized a large quantity of Bitcoin belonging to the social media personality and former professional kickboxer. But the amount was not in hundreds of millions, rather it was around $560,000, equivalent to approximately 21 BTC. Additionally, 15 luxury cars, 14 watches, 15 properties, and stakes in four companies were among the seized assets.&nbsp; 
Furthermore, according to a press release from the Information and Public Relations Office under the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism in Romania, the indictment includes four defendants currently under house arrest, including Tate’s brother Tristan.&nbsp;

In March, as previously reported, there is currently no definitive information about Tate’s crypto assets, but two months after his widely publicized arrest in Romania in December 2022, local police had seized about $500,000 worth of Bitcoin from the crypto wallets of him and his brother Tristan. This amount is close to the recently seized amount.&nbsp; 
Shortly before his arrest, Andrew Tate had appeared on Anthony Pompliano’s Bitcoin podcast, where he boasted about turning $600,000 into $12 million, as reported in December. He declared that he had gone fully insane and asserted that the decentralized finance (<a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/decentralized-finance-defi-unleashing-the-future-of-transparent-financial-system/" data-wpel-link="internal">DeFi</a>) asset eliminated the disadvantages of fiat transactions.&nbsp;
