<a target="_blank" href="https://tokeninsight.com/en/coins/binance-coin/overview">BNB Chain</a> has announced the release of the opBNB testnet, a new Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible blockchain based on Optimism's OP Stack. opBNB is a high-performance layer-2 solution within the BNB ecosystem, built using the OP Stack.According to the developers, the new blockchain is expected to achieve speeds of 4,000 transactions per second (tps) at a cost of 0.005 U.S. cents per transaction.This is twice as fast as BNB Chain and significantly faster than Ethereum's 30 tps.
