Thank you Jercos!”</em></blockquote><p>Back then 10,000 BTC was only around $41 Jercos was 18 years old at the time of the transaction. At one point in late 2013, 10,000 bitcoins were worth over USD$12 million At current prices, 10,000 BTC would be worth $280,000,000 (at $28,000+ per Bitcoin)!</p><h2 id="header-1">Who is Laszlo Hanyecz?</h2><ul><li>Laszlo is commonly known as “The Pizza Guy”, Laszlo uses the mined Bitcoins as digital money to buy pizza and other goods.</li><li>A Legendary Bitcoin Developer: He was the first Bitcoin developer to release Bitcoin code for Mac OS and invented GPU mining.</li></ul><p>Laszlo has never regretted spending Bitcoin, Bitcoin was supposed to be a medium of exchange, and he was the first to use it before his friends followed suit.</p><p>Bitcoin at that time had no exchange value to fiat. Laszlo does use Bitcoin as it should, and he is a Bitcoin Legend, who we need to remember for everything he did to help Bitcoin succeed in its early days.
