<p>Lawmakers in the <strong><a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/european-union-adopts-new-regulations-to-prevent-crypto-based-money-laundering" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">European Union</a></strong> have approved a ban on the use of facial recognition in public spaces and predictive policing tools as part of their forthcoming AI Act. The vote also included transparency measures for generative AI tools to be classified by risk level. The EU's AI Act has been under negotiation for two years and is moving to the next stage, which includes finalizing details between the European Commission and member states. The AI Act will be some of the first finalized legislation impacting AI development. Other countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and China, are also considering AI regulations.</p>
