<p><em>Today we’re starting a new blog series with the Myria Monthly Recap.</em></p><p>Myria’s Monthly Recap will bring you up to speed with the most important events in the Myria ecosystem and the first edition is a big one as Myria just crossed several major milestones — the highly-anticipated launch of the MYRIA token, the start of the Public Node Sale and the official activation of Myria nodes. It’s safe to say that the past month has been one of the most eventful ones for the entire Myria ecosystem.</p><p><strong>Some of the recent highlights from the past month include:</strong></p><ul><li>Launch of Myria’s native token, MYRIA, adding new layers of utility to the ecosystem</li><li>Start of the Myria Public Node Sale, giving everyone the opportunity to contribute to the Myria network and get rewarded for it</li><li>Over 11 million Myria Layer 2 wallets to date</li><li>Myria’s thriving community surpassing more than 500,000 active members</li><li>Over 1,000,000 NFTs minted in the Myria ecosystem</li><li>More than 270 gaming projects are building on the Myria platform.</li><li>Partnered with Celebrity Cricket player <a href="https://myria.com/game-detail/?gameId=cricket" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">AB de Villiers</a> to launch his play-and-earn Cricket arcade mobile game, powered by Myria’s L2.</li></ul><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*_pKdTIFi7l-di0kkhbWRXw.png"></p><h2 id="header-0">The MYRIA Token Is Here</h2><p>The MYRIA token officially went <a href="https://www.okx.com/trade-spot/myria-usdt" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">live on OKX</a> on April 6! MYRIA’s initial launch on the OKX exchange was followed by more listings on <a href="https://www.kucoin.com/trade/MYRIA-USDT" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">KuCoin</a>, <a href="https://www.gate.io/trade/MYRIA_USDT" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Gate</a>, <a href="https://www.mexc.com/exchange/MYRIA_USDT" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MEXC</a>, <a href="https://www.bitmart.com/trade/en-US?layout=basic&amp;theme=dark&amp;symbol=MYRIA_USDT" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitmart</a>, and others. Myria can also be found on the biggest decentralized exchange — <a href="https://app.uniswap.org/#/tokens/ethereum/0xa0ef786bf476fe0810408caba05e536ac800ff86" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Uniswap</a>. Currently, Myria’s native token is available on a total of 12 exchanges!</p><p>The launch of the MYRIA token marked a huge milestone that’s been on Myria’s roadmap ever since the company’s inception. The native token brings the Myria protocol closer to realizing its long-held vision of giving impetus to the mass adoption of Web3 gaming for both developers and players. MYRIA’s utility will include:</p><ul><li>Protocol Fees: A portion of protocol fees on every Myria transaction will be paid in MYRIA.</li><li>Myria Node Purchases: Myria Nodes can only be purchased with MYRIA tokens.</li><li>Staking: Staking will go live after the implementation of protocol fees.</li><li>Governance: The Myria blockchain is community-driven and this governance will come directly from MYRIA token holders. Once governance is introduced, MYRIA owners will be able to vote on the future direction of the Myria ecosystem.</li></ul><p>The launch of MYRIA was just the beginning of Myria’s Web3 journey. As more projects onboard the Myria ecosystem, the utility of the token will only expand further. With the official start of <a href="https://myria.com/nodes/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Myria’s Public Node Sale</a> on April 10, 2023, anyone can now jump in, purchase a Node License, start contributing to the Myria network, and get <a href="https://support.myria.com/hc/en-us/articles/8980145937300-Understanding-Myria-Node-Reward-Distribution" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">rewarded</a> for it.</p><p><a href="https://support.myria.com/hc/en-us/categories/6737314214804-Myria-Nodes" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">More Information on Myria Nodes, Public Sale &amp; Pricing</a></p><p>For running a Myria Node, operators are awarded daily rewards in the form of MYRIA tokens and/or NFTs. Some of the titles on the Myria Layer 2 have already been unveiled and they’re being actively developed by the teams behind them.</p><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/0*nQlnVcmg2E-x5W6Q.jpeg"></p><h3 id="metarush">Metarush</h3><p><a href="https://myria.com/game-detail/?gameId=metarush" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Metarush </a>is the first title by Myria’s in-house game development studio had a <a href="https://medium.com/myria-official/metarush-closed-demo-recap-b0fe0687f1fa" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">closed gameplay demo back in March</a>. In April, progress continued, as Metarush prepares to enter an official Alpha version. The Myria Studios team is processing all the feedback from the March demo and continues to polish core game mechanics to deliver an addictive gameplay experience.</p><p><a href="https://twitter.com/PlayMetarush/status/1635572069504000000" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Metarush Sneak Peek</a></p><p>Web3 features that are yet to be implemented in Metarush are still being discussed as the team continues to explore new options in the next stages of development. The Metarush roadmap will be adjusted accordingly.</p><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*0tIdqZsVjDAjUO40xHjZRA.jpeg"></p><h3 id="gaming-partnership-highlight-360-cricket">Gaming Partnership Highlight — 360 Cricket</h3><p>In 2022, <a href="https://medium.com/myria-official/myria-is-partnering-with-cricket-legend-ab-de-villiers-da3f3689b696" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Myria partnered with cricket legend AB de Villiers</a> to empower the first celebrity-backed mobile cricket game that integrates blockchain technology and play-and-earn elements. In late March, the name of the game was revealed to be “360 Cricket”. We’re pleased to announce that the upcoming mobile arcade game following the life and career of AB de Villiers is already in active development.</p><p><a href="https://twitter.com/ABdeVilliers17/status/1638451475323195394" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">360 Cricket Announcement</a></p><p>In April, 360 Cricket received numerous updates in different areas including the game’s visual style, shaders, textures, models, and lighting. Core mechanics of 360 Cricket such as ball trajectory are still being polished.</p><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*p2fWZ6FmKFkFuFCpip2eKg.jpeg"></p><h2 id="header-3">Partnership Updates</h2><p>Myria’s ecosystem has already attracted more than 270 third-party developers and it continued to expand further in April. In the past month alone, more than 20 new projects have signed up to build on Myria’s blazing-fast Layer 2 network. Some of our latest partners include <a href="https://hypatiagames.net/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hypatia</a>, <a href="https://billiardcrypto.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Billiard Crypto</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/BitstarW" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BitstarWar</a>, <a href="https://skynity.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SkyNity</a>, and <a href="https://voxnet.xyz/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">VoxNet</a>.</p><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*vWRL80xCNhj9GWhciMmJJg.jpeg"></p><h2 id="header-4">Engineering &amp; Blockchain Updates</h2><h3 id="developer-sdk-tools">Developer SDK &amp; Tools</h3><p>At the core of Myria’s Web3 ecosystem is its community, consisting of developers, and we have created a suite of custom-tailored tools, such as intuitive <a href="https://docs.myria.com/docs/core-sdk" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SDKs</a>, to facilitate the adoption of blockchain technology and incentivize developers to create on our platform.</p><p>The Myria team is working on further improving the existing developer SDK and tools. Currently, an end-to-end SDK solution for operating a live game title with Myria is being tested internally. We’re also testing a feature that’ll allow a developer to complete Myria Wallet creation outside of myria.com, along with querying the contents of a given Myria Wallet and transferring NFTs from the developer’s treasury wallet to a given user’s wallet.</p><p>Another update that’s also in the internal testing phase is our first version of the developer platform for managing projects and collections. This feature will drastically simplify developer onboarding by allowing developers to create projects and collections directly from the Myria Developer Portal.</p><h2 id="header-5">A Very Active Community</h2><p>Myria’s journey is only beginning but we wouldn’t be here without the overwhelming support of our community.
