<h3 id="strong-em-what-is-a-product-retrospective-em-strong">What Is A Product Retrospective?</h3>Our monthly Product Retrospective is designed as a backward-looking review of the features we delivered in the previous month.The intent of the blog post is to inform our community about what our engineering team built and why with an eye toward shining a light on the evolution of our technology platform and whether or not we’ve kept our development promises.Quidd Inbox and Notification Preferences are Live!In our quest for improving the collecting experience for our very near and dear community on Quidd, we create many new features on a regular basis. This one, I have to say, has been a LONG time coming.On any given day or time, there are many things happening on Quidd. Sets are going live, chases are ending, free packs, new collections are being announced, flash packs, and listings are being purchased, collectors are contacting you about making an offer, and more! How does one person keep up with all these devices and delivery methods? That is the reason why we created Quidd Inbox and Notification Preferences.It gets hard to keep up with everything across our email, push notifications, and in-app pop-up messages. Some messages, like push notifications or in-app notifications, get lost once you dismiss them. To help keep everything organized we have created the Quidd Inbox and Notification Preferences.As our world expands to new and frequent collecting experiences, we need a better way to contact our users. Our Quidd Inbox creates a smoother and more holistic experience to send advance notifications to users about Quidd activities. Another reason to do this now is the need for notification preferences to customize what notifications collectors want to receive and where.<h3 id="strong-what-is-included-in-this-product-update-strong">What is included in this product update?</h3>This latest update consists of the Quidd Inbox which is a smarter way to send notifications to Quidd users and the Notification Preferences which gives users complete control over all the messages being to Email, Mobile Push, and now Quidd Inbox.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*0zMsUcecXC-Cn7KaqUxhFg.png" />Notification Preference window in settingsNotification PreferencesNotification Preferences provides controls for the user to decide what notifications, and which delivery methods they wish to receive. Updated notification types include:<ul><li>Push</li><li>Email</li><li>Quidd Inbox</li></ul>You can turn on or off specific push notifications, inboxes, and email<h3 id="strong-we-have-added-the-following-new-email-and-push-notification-categories-strong">We have added the following new Email and Push Notification Categories</h3><ul><li>Email: Newsletter, All Collections, Collection Recommendations, Collections I Own, Brand Revivals</li><li>Push Notification: Free Pack, Flash Pack, Listing Sold, Print Transfer, Wishlist Inquiry, Wishlist Item Listed, At Mention, New Follower, Storyboard Activity, and New Chat Alert.</li><li>Quidd Inbox: Listing Sold, Print Transfer, Wishlist Inquiry, Wishlist Item Listed, Chase Alert, At Mention, New Follower, Storyboard Activity, New Chat Alert.</li></ul><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*WuKCEWt_l4ltS-pjiilQnQ.png" />Quidd Inbox on Web<h3 id="strong-quidd-inbox-strong">Quidd Inbox</h3>The Quidd Inbox includes notifications which are the least intrusive form of notification within the app. When a user receives a message of this type, they are notified via a notification count badge on the notification navigation icon in the apps and on the inbox icon on the web. These messages stay in the inbox for as long as the user doesn’t explicitly archive them. The user may choose to act on the information immediately through the link or save it for a later time.Inbox Messages have the following attributes:<ul><li>User ID: The user to which the notification has been sent</li><li>Notification Type: KYC Status, Print Received, Sold Listing, At Mention, New Follower, Post Liked, Wishlist Inquiry, Chase Alert, Upcoming Drop, and System Messages</li><li>Date the notification was sent</li><li>A brief description of the event or information to be communicated</li><li>An external URL or Deep Link for the user to click and take appropriate action</li><li>Viewed: The message shows whether or not it has already been viewed by the user (and adds to the notification count if it hasn’t)</li></ul><h3 id="strong-future-plans-strong">Future Plans</h3>Aggregate NotificationsSome notifications become redundant and lead to fatigue if the user receives one copy for every event. For example, if the user creates a popular Storyboard and dozens of users like their post, their Inbox would become unusable if they got one message for each like. Notifications marked as “Aggregate” will get grouped together rather than being shown as a single notification per event.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*3rtmOkadYSZaDTdoRnbQew.png" />SummaryEach delivery method includes new and in some cases exclusive notifications you can’t get elsewhere. That level of detail can only be found in the Notification Center on Qudd.2. How does Blocking/reporting a user work?You can block a user by clicking on their message &gt; clicking the 3 dots next to their username &gt; select “Block User” or “Report User”3. Can we make group chats?No, it does not support group chat.4. Can you send messages if your account is suspended?No, you cannot send messages when your account is suspended.
