<p>The cryptocurrency market emerged stronger from the ongoing traditional banking crisis, with the global market cap topping nearly $1.18 trillion on CoinMarketCap. <h3 id="bitcoin-s-btc-market-dominance-reaches-new-highs">Bitcoin’s (BTC) Market Dominance Reaches New Highs</h3>
<p>A recent <a href="https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTC.D/lQwmulXR-BTC-D-8H-Chart/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">TradingView chart</a> shows that Bitcoin dominance, defined as the percentage of the crypto market's total capitalization held by the world's largest digital currency, BTC, reached its highest level in nine months, surpassing 45.5%.</p>
<p>The increase in Bitcoin's market share comes after the coin this week crossed the $27,000 mark, representing its highest level since last June. This was a significant increase from the decline to new two-month lows below the $20,000 mark two weeks ago.</p>
<p>As we mentioned in our <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/feed/post/298171" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">last week's recap</a>, the earlier decline was caused by broader risk-off flows as a result of a series of failed American banks, including Silicon Valley and Silvergate, the two most prominent banks that are friendly to cryptocurrencies and technology.</p>
<p>While the sudden spike in BTC dominance might suggest that a bull run is on the way, many market analysts remain cautious, believing that a slight correction will emerge before the final, notable, and consistent bull run might start.</p>
<h3 id="euler-finance-suffered-almost-200-million-in-exploitation">Euler Finance suffered almost $200 million in exploitation</h3>
<p>On March 13, a flash loan attack that got away with millions of dollars' worth of cryptocurrencies was launched against the Ethereum-based decentralized lending platform Euler Finance. The exploiter stole about $197 million, making it the biggest hack of 2023 so far.</p>
<p>It's interesting that this attack happened despite the lender having up to 10 audits from six different companies in the previous two years.</p>
<p>However, the platform offered the exploiter nearly $20 million in exchange for the return of the stolen funds. The hacker appeared uninterested in the deal, as on-chain data shows that he has begun to mix some tokens into Tornado Cash, a crypto-mixing service provider. Now, a $1 million reward is being offered for information that results in the perpetrator's capture.</p>
<h3 id="the-uniswap-exchange-is-now-available-on-the-bnb-chain">The UniSwap exchange is now available on the BNB Chain</h3>
<p>The decentralized exchange Uniswap is now active on Binance's BNB Chain, a blockchain network that supports smart contracts like the Ethereum network.</p>
<p>This was the outcome of a governance proposal by 0x Plasma Labs to launch Uniswap v3 on BNB Chain in February 2023, which received support from over 55 million UNI token holders.</p>
<p>The need for Uniswap to broaden its influence and possibly spur further growth and adoption of decentralized finance led to the presentation of the proposal, which was approved successfully (DeFi).</p>
<h3 id="svb-financial-group-begins-chapter-11-protection-filings">SVB Financial Group begins Chapter 11 protection filings.</h3>
<p>Troubled SVB Financial Group has voluntarily petitioned the US Bankruptcy Court for a Chapter 11 restructuring under court supervision in order to protect value. The funds of SVB Capital, its venture capital arm, and SVB Securities, a broker-dealer, as well as funds of general partner entities, are not subject to the bankruptcy proceedings, the company <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/svb-financial-group-commences-chapter-11-proceeding-to-preserve-value-301774997.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announced </a>on March 17.</p>
<p>However, the businesses will carry on as usual while SVB Financial Group continues to look at strategic options for its businesses. The business then stated that it actually believes it has about $2.2 billion in liquid assets.</p>
<h3 id="meta-removes-nft-functionalities-from-facebook-and-instagram">Meta removes NFT functionalities from Facebook and Instagram.</h3>
<p>Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp's parent company, Meta, recently announced that it is "winding down" support for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on its social media platforms.</p>
<p>Stephane Kasriel, Meta's head of commerce and financial technologies, made the <a href="https://twitter.com/skasriel/status/1635386565487898624?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announcement </a>on Twitter on March 13.</p>
<p>According to her, the company will soon stop testing the ability to mint and sell NFTs on Instagram as well as share them on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta executive made it clear that the business is currently concentrating on "areas where we can make an impact at scale," such as messaging and monetization on Reels, and boosting Meta Pay.</p>
<h3 id="a-class-action-lawsuit-has-been-filed-against-ftx-youtube-influencers">A class-action lawsuit has been filed against FTX YouTube influencers.</h3>
<p>The <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flsd.638960/gov.uscourts.flsd.638960.1.0.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">class action lawsuit</a>, filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami division, claims that some prominent YouTube influencers promoted the sale of FTX's YBAs to their millions of followers without disclosing how much they were compensated by the exchange. The YBAs, according to them, are unregistered securities.</p>
<p>The lawsuit asserts that influencers were heavily involved in the<a href="https://medium.com/@melega/the-aftermath-of-the-ftx-fall-key-lessons-we-need-to-learn-melegaswap-1d70d64cb8a0" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> FTX disaster</a> and that FTX would not have reached such heights without the significant influence of these influencers, who promoted the "deceptive FTX platform" in exchange for private payments that ranged from thousands of dollars to millions of dollars in bribes.</p>
