Every blockchain has made claims about how fast their transactions and finality are, but understanding whether those numbers align with reality is controversial. After numerous conversations with developers in the community, it became clear that these numbers were often inaccurate, based on unrealistic setups, or sometimes pitching to a future, but not as of yet attained value.Developers were in need of some third-party benchmarking they could reference when assessing whether to build on a given blockchain network. That’s when <a href="https://skale.space" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SKALE </a>decided to commission the Dartmouth Blockchain group to not only do a project deep dive but also conduct third-party testing. Eight networks were evaluated as a part of the testing which included: Ethereum, Solana, Near, Avalanche, Polygon, Fantom, Flow, and of course SKALE.After rigorous testing, the Dartmouth Blockchain group published their findings. Their methodology included the Dartmouth Blockchain group consulting with developers who worked on these respective chains and core teams from each tested network.
