<p>According to data from eToro’s latest Retail Investor Beat, which surveyed roughly 10,000 global retail investors in 13 countries, crypto is currently the second most popular asset class for women, trailing only cash.</p><p>The survey also notes that male ownership increased by 1% during the same time period.</p><h2 id="header-0">Crypto adoption among women soars</h2><p>Survey results show that women are intensely interested in cryptocurrency. According to  <a href="https://www.etoro.com/investing/retail-investor-beat/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">eToro’s data</a>, ownership climbed from 29% in the third quarter of 2022 to 34% in the most recent quarter.</p><p>This, according to the eToro team, indicates that cryptocurrency is “<em>succeeding where traditional financial markets have sometimes failed,</em>” which is why it has risen in popularity among women.</p><h2 id="header-1">Ownership spike</h2><p>Despite being the asset class with the worst performance last year, overall global investor ownership in cryptocurrencies increased from 36% to 39% quarter over quarter.</p><p>The statistics were influenced by older investors purchasing the dip in addition to women rushing in. Retail cryptocurrency holders between the ages of 35 and 44 and 45 and 54 increased by 5% each, indicating that older investors are also acquiring cryptocurrency.</p><p>Around 37% of those surveyed indicated they were taking advantage of the chance to earn large returns, while 34% said they believed in the <a href="https://micky.com.au/category/blockchain/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">power of blockchain</a> and thought cryptocurrency was a transformative asset class.</p>
