<p>The Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Shaktikanta Das, restated his stance on cryptocurrencies, stating the necessity of an outright ban. Das also believes that legalizing cryptocurrencies will increase the dollarization of the economy and lead to a loss of central bank control. Instead of relying on cryptocurrency, the RBI has launched its own CBDC as an effort to minimize the monopoly of cryptocurrency in the country and considers CBDC as the future of money.</p>
