The <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency/terra-luna-2-luna-prices-usd" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Terra</a>/LUNA ecosystem collapsed in 2022, and the centralised cryptocurrency exchange FTX also failed.DeFi, which accounted for 80.5% of total losses and CeFi, which accounted for 19.5%, was also the primary target of hacking.DeFi losses increased from $2 billion in 2021 to $3.18 billion (in 155 different instances) in 2022, a 56.2% increase. Between 2021 and 2022, CeFi&#39;s losses dropped by 87.3%, from $6 billion to $768.8 million.With 65 and 49 occurrences, respectively, the BNB Chain and Ethereum were the two most often targeted blockchains in 2022. Ethereum and BNB Chain were responsible for 63.3% of all blockchain attacks. With 12 instances, or 6.7% of all attacks in 2022, Solana came in third.Unless all projects, blockchains, protocols, and other digital asset organisations prioritise security, cryptocurrency &#34;losses&#34; are projected to be in the billions by 2023.
