Castle Crush</h2>CARV community’s Take: A strategy card collecting game with an innovative progression mechanism design. The game is well crafted with graphics and enjoyable gameplay. A solid game for gamers who want to be intellectually challenged.Castle Crush has been around for a couple of years already. It resembles Clash Royale in many ways but also has its unique twists. One hint, there are three lanes instead of two. The gameplay is quite straightforward, where players acquire cards from boxes that can be obtained by competing in matches. Cards can be upgraded once they stake to a certain number, and the upgrade exponentially increases the cards’ potency. Of course, in order to win the game, upgrading is barely enough, players must be meticulous about their card combination, sequence, and lane picking.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*TXne2TRfWiNFFZJY">The in-game economy is where the game stands out. Opening loot boxes are not the only way players will be able to acquire cards, once a card is upgraded to a certain level, it can be traded in the marketplace. In fact, opened founder chests can be sold in the marketplace as well. Aside from purchasing and owning cards, players can also rent cards with $ACS through renting platform. It achieved its 40M+ downloads not by its P2E feature, but with the fundamentals, fun to play. Blockchain technology certainly adds an extra layer of flavor to it.<h2 id="header-1">2. Shrapnel</h2>CARV community’s Take: AAA FPS game built by BAFTA and Emmy award-winning developers. Shrapnel’s storyline is set in a post-catastrophic world in the near future. And its gameplay design with intense competition and unique reputation system is also intriguingShrapnel is developed by Neon, a BAFTA and Emmy award-winning studio full of game industry veterans. The story happens in the world where the Moon was hit by an asteroid that caused meteorites to bombard a 500-kilometer-wide band around the Earth. That band area, known as The Zone, attracts hundreds and thousands of Mercenary Extraction Forces (MEF) operators from different organizations and nations to uncover the alien materials that enhance quantum mechanics and many other secrets.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*JnBWu9s182CxWydy">As far as the gameplay goes, players are taking on missions for their MEF to find and extract those invaluable resources in The Zone while vying against each other. Players have to complete the mission (collect the loot) and fight their way back to the extraction point, surviving long enough to escape before finally claiming the loot (turned into NFTs). Gears (NFTs) will be dropped upon death. All this mechanism makes it an intense, competitive, and high-risk but also high-reward venture. Such design of gameplay encourages the formation of strategy making and alliance forming.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*UPS5WiFP8Xe_QBdj">Shrapnel also tries to accommodate players with different objectives in the game. Those who don’t want to put high stakes on their gears, can opt to use contract operators for low-risk and low-return reward dynamics but still be able to enjoy the game. And each session varies from 15 minutes up to 45 minutes, to fit all players with different entertainment needs and time constraints.Guild or enterprising players are enabled to set their own rules and terms, make their own tournaments, and promote them in the game. Curators and creators are also welcomed in the community. Any creative design of vanity assets or maps can be minted into NFTs and listed in the marketplace. An innovative reputation system has been built around all these in-game stakeholders –players, creators, and communities as well. Each terrain has its unique culture, challenges, dungeon quests, resources drop as well as gameplay. Some of them look familiar, the others are exotic. The token is required when players want NFTs with unique attributes. The token cannot be earned in-game, and it has a total supply of 1 billion.</li><li>Land Parcel: Land NFT each with its unique layout, terrain, and resources. Owners will generate passive income in form of in-game resources</li><li>Item NFTs: Minted when players craft resources into items. These NFTs can be upgraded and traded on marketplaces.</li></ul>Last but not least, one thing that makes the game one of a kind is the implementation of NFT interoperability. What does that mean? Ascenders players can mint their Ascenders hero NFTs with external NFTs. The minted hero not only retain the name of the original NFT but also inherits the value, rarity, and traits of that NFT. Players start their journey as a guild rather than a single hero and adventure in a caravan in the wildness of oblivion or compete against other guilds in the city.Heroes Chained is a fantasy action RPG card game where players own a ‘Guild’ and gather heroes. The game offers freedom to players to play with different heroes and hero classes, races, genes, and spells. This diversity creates unlimited possibilities in the game.
