FTX filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Friday, and Sam Bankman-Fried resigned as CEO.When the conference moderator compared the FTX debacle to the 2008 financial crisis, Zhao said, &#34;I think that&#39;s definitely an accurate analogy.&#34; Binance&#39;s CEO went on to say:“This kind of occurrence is disastrous for the industry. A lot of consumer confidence has been shattered, and I believe it has pushed us back a few years.”Furthermore, CZ believes that “if FTX falls, there would be cascading impacts. Particularly those who are close to the FTX ecosystem will be negatively affected.”Zhao anticipates that the crypto industry will face increased regulatory scrutiny, with a focus on capital requirements and deposit processing. However, he stated that it is &#34;probably a good thing, to be honest.&#34;Following FTX&#39;s demise, the White House and a number of US senators have advocated for effective cryptocurrency legislation. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), for example, has stated that cryptocurrency requires &#34;more vigorous regulation,&#34; and she will continue to press the SEC to &#34;enforce the law.&#34;Earlier, Binance was thinking about acquiring FTX and providing liquidity.
