Recently, we held an AMA with the fantastic team at <a href="https://youtu.be/riPZ2vGLA80" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Huobi Live</a>. It was a lively event in which Vladimir Maslyakov and Nick Inshakov showcased the power of Everscale and demonstrated its benefits for the Huobi community, the <a href="https://twitter.com/Crypto_Tonight" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">CryptoTonight</a> audience, and for the cryptocurrency community as a whole. Let’s do a quick review of the key points from the discussion.<a href="https://everscale.network/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Everscale</a> blockchain was introduced as a Layer 1 network, but more than this, a blockchain with a unique architecture with a massive edge in scalability compared to other chains.This is because Everscale was one of the first blockchains to launch what is known as a ‘double-sharding’ mechanism to scale the execution of transactions. This is achieved thanks to the unique way the network operates using systems of sidechains. Blocks from these sidechains then synchronize with a masterchain, and this is the first level of sharding. As well as this, sharding is present inside each sidechain. This allows transactions to be separated into different blocks and into different validators on the level of the sidechain itself.Due to the fact that Everscale is a fully asynchronous blockchain, sidechains can communicate with each other. This means it is possible to send messages, for example, from one decentralized application, such as a CBDC, on one sidechain to another decentralized application, such as messenger, on another sidechain.<h2 id="header-0">Everscale and the basic blockchain trilemma</h2>When it comes to applying the right consensus algorithm, a lot of mathematical RnD has been done to ensure Everscale remains at the highest level of security, while retaining all the benefits of scaling technology.On top of that, several live tests were conducted in September 2021, where the Everscale network achieved 55 thousand transactions per second with 200 validators on the live Internet. It is worth noting, however, that this is not the ultimate limit, as by adding more validators, such as another 200, the network could easily scale to 100,000 transactions per second.So Everscale can essentially be called a dynamically and linearly scalable blockchain and therefore solves the blockchain trilemma asked about at the AMA session — it is scalable, decentralized, and secure.<h2 id="header-1">CBDC on the Everscale blockchain</h2>CBDC’s were a hot topic touched on at the AMA session, as interest in them grows in popularity.From a technical point of view, CBDCs are quite a challenge. Blockchain technology has to be robust enough and have sufficient throughput, which not everyone can do. But despite all the difficulties, Everscale has solutions to host multiple CBDCs, and Vladimir Maslyakov said Everscale is now in talks with five governments on this point. And beyond that, officials in thePhilippines are ready to launch an Everscale-based CBDC in the very near future. So Everscale has fully developed the framework for this.<h2 id="header-2">Easy development of a blockchain-based game</h2>Everscale is creating a novel structure which will not only be fast, but also very cheap! By providing all of the amazing technology required for the gaming industry — all the SDKs and APIs they need to make life as easy as possible — developers can create games on Everscale’s blockchain without any coding skills. And with connection to the APIs into their game, they can take full advantage of blockchain integration without having to develop a blockchain.<h2 id="header-3">Advantages of moving to blockchain vs. traditional databases</h2>The issue of industrial applications, and supply chains, was also raised at AMA-session, and it might come as no surprise that Everscale is moving in this direction as well!Blockchain representatives were involved in discussions with large industrial companies about how Everscale could be used in their industrial applications. The sentiment from major players in international trade, business, or industry, is that they want some kind of environment that they can trust without having to take responsibility for or worry about.
