Also, by allowing the audience to directly engage with the creators, Web3 is allowing the latter to build their own independent economy, where they can grant content ownership to their fans by sharing benefits with them if they please.</p><h3 id="monetization">Monetization</h3><p>More monetization opportunities can also be unlocked. In the Web3-based creator economy, the audience can directly compensate creators for their favorable work, skipping the whole intermediary part. Creators, on the other hand, can use fungible tokens (FT) as incentives for the audience in return for participation and investments in their projects. Creators are thus directly exchanging value with the audience, who are more like valued community members with something to earn rather than pure followers.</p><p>Creators now desire to take control of their content, and even careers, more than ever. And Web3 can just offer them better control over content ownership and earnings and the chance to establish a longer and deeper relationship with the audience.
