We had a use case earlier this year for transporting apples from Germany to Mongolia, as you can see more from <a href="https://blog.obortech.io/smart-hubs-beta-testing-elbe-obst-joins-obortech-s-blockchain-ecosystem-2e5b7ac7a0b7" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">here</a>. Our partner Elbe-Obst was excited to participate in our pilot testing since they believe our technology is helpful, so here comes a Smart Hub’s use case video on Fruit logistics. We all know fruits are prone to spoilage and damage, thus a tracking system is required to ensure that the product is well-received by consumers. Traceability strives to ensure the quality and safety of products sold or consumed by customers by offering information on all or a section of the supply chain, including harvesting, production, distribution, and sales.As a result of the pilot testing, our partner Elbe-Obst emphasized that the Smart Hub is useful for full control of cold chain management, creating trust and transparency in a price- and quality-sensitive industry. It will also help increase consumer confidence in food safety. Following the pilot testing, Elbe-Obst representative Thomas visited Mongolia to explore further collaboration opportunities, and we also co-participated in the Lemon Spice Food Festival, where we demonstrated how Blockchain enables trust and transparency in the food supply chain.Information will be acknowledged as the most important prerequisite for creating an effective supply chain traceability once supply chain participants have been identified, which is necessary for a traceability system. So, in this Fruit logistics use case, we have our partner Mongolian Express Ltd as a logistics and import company, and several supermarkets as retailers. As for logistics and importers, receiving real-time information allows them to immediately assess risks and make the appropriate adjustments in time to avoid any issues with product damage or even spoilage.With the help of Smart Hub, retailers can offer consumers a third-party platform that presents product information in a decentralized and user-friendly way rather than centralized systems, which raises conflict of interest issues. This will allow consumers easy access to self-investigate a product’s origin and follow it from the farm to their hands, which helps them make more informed purchasing decisions.Apart from this, we are working on the mining logistics use case video.
