<p>Solana is now again back online after witnessing an outage recently due to the misconfiguration of the node causing the <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/glossary/blockchain-3-0/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">blockchain</a> to stop the processing of the transfers. It seemed that a validator was operating an identical <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/glossary/validator/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">validator</a> instance. This signified that rather than the production of a single block by the validator, each instance was involved in producing one each.</p><h2 id="header-0">Solana Goes Through One More Network Outage and Restarts Afterward</h2><p>In a Twitter thread shared by Stakewiz (a <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/blockchain/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">blockchain</a> and software firm operating on Solana) the platform mentioned that this was not a problem. As per it, the network should have the capability to tackle such a thing. As a result of this incident, the blockchain was compelled to fork as the validators could not consent in terms of which was the right one.</p><p>Because of this <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/glossary/fork-blockchain/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">fork</a>, an obscure code path developed on which the validators were left with no capability to return to the chief fork for another time. As per the suggestion given by Stakewiz, the failure of the Solana network in the rectification could be a consequence of a node failover system’s incapability on the venue. After that, they determined to get the network restarted from 153139220 – the final confirmed slot.</p><p>The procedure of the network’s restart was accomplished at 7 a.m. – according to the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). At the moment, the <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/glossary/decentralized-applications-dapps/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">decentralized applications</a> are operating for the restoration of the services on the Solana venue. Even though Solana promotes itself to be a blockchain with high performance, the network has gone through many outages during the previous year.</p><p>The network experienced an offline session that lasted for up to eighteen hours during the month of September in 2021. In addition to that, during the month of May of this year, it became frozen for a period of nearly seven hours. The issue was not fixed until the validators took it upon themselves to perform a network restart. Not only that, but it experienced a further delay of up to four hours during the month of June 2022. When viewed in retrospect, the performance of the Solana network appeared to have suffered significant setbacks in the months of May, April, March, and January.</p><h2 id="header-1">Cardano Founder Criticizes Solana for Its Recurring Outages</h2><p>While responding to such recurring issues, Charles Hoskinson (the Cardano founder) targeted Solana, viewing it as a prominent Cardano opposer as its founder formerly criticized Cardano Chain. Such an exchange of courtesies between Hoskinson and Solana founders has also been witnessed previously. In the latest move, its network of Solana got effectively restarted. The diagnostic process for the glitch took some hours to be completed.</p><p>As noted in a tweet shared on the behalf of &#64;SolanaStatus, the Mainnet Beta of Solana was restarted by it. At the moment, the entirety of the network operators will keep on reestablishing the client services. Currently, the position of SOL (the native token of Solana) is down by nearly 6.35%. $33.09 is the position in which it is <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/glossary/trading/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">trading</a> at present.</p>
