<h2 id="header-0">Over the past few months, there has been intense selling pressure on the global cryptocurrency market.</h2><p>The largest cryptocurrency in the world, Bitcoin, has beaten significant traditional market assets.</p><h2 id="header-1">Over the past 30 days, bitcoin prices have fallen by 4.5%.</h2><p>According to a report by Arcane Research, the value of Bitcoin relative to the USD increased by 0.8% in September. It has, however, also outperformed both gold and US indexes.</p><p>The dollar strength index (DXY), however, appears to be the only one of the major macro indices to have outperformed Bitcoin in terms of returns. But this month, BTC outperformed the dollar while the dollar outperformed other currencies.</p><p>Over the previous 30 days, the price of bitcoin has increased by 2.53%. As at the time of publication, the price of one bitcoin is $19,535.</p><p>According to the analysis, Ethereum&#39;s subpar performance in September is to blame for the overall crypto market cap&#39;s underperformance. The key $1 trillion threshold has been breached by the market capitalisation as a whole.</p><p>The asset highlighted in the study with the worst performance was Ethereum. The most anticipated ETH merge has occurred, nevertheless, and this drop has been noted. The price of <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency/ethereum-eth-prices-usd" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a> has decreased by almost 12% during the past 30 days. At the time of publication, the average price of ETH is $1,313.</p><h2 id="header-2">Will this correlation increase going forward?</h2><p>However, despite the rising link with the traditional market, the price of bitcoin has outpaced other significant assets. The 30 day correlation between the Nasdaq and S and P 500 has increased to its highest level since July following the release of CPI data and the most recent FOMC meeting.</p><p>The analysis shows that during the past few months, <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency/bitcoin-btc-prices-usd" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> and gold have become increasingly correlated. A year high of 0.52 has been reached in the 30-day correlation between BTC and gold.</p><p>Last week&#39;s FOMC meeting saw new highs for Bitcoin&#39;s intraday volatility. While FED raised interest rates by 75 basis points. However, a minute after the FOMC statement was released, the price of BTC fell by about 5%.</p>
