<h2 id="header-0">In order to develop cooperative extended reality and metaverse activities, Qualcomm, the fabless chip designer, and Telefonica, one of Spain's leading telecom operators, have signed a partnership agreement.</h2>These metaverse experiences will be made available to Telefonica's consumers via Snapdragon Spaces, a brand-new Qualcomm technology. The agreement also leaves up the prospect of developing cooperative business ventures.To provide its customers with metaverse experiences, Telefonica teams up with Qualcomm.One of the largest telecom companies in Spain and Europe, Telefonica, has established a cooperation with chipmaker Qualcomm to work together on projects involving the metaverse. The deal stipulates that experiences created using Qualcomm technology will be deployed through Telefonica's telecom infrastructure.With the help of this technology, known as Snapdragon Spaces, designers can concentrate on creating these experiences, particularly for augmented reality headsets. The metaverses created with Spaces can be accessed using any headset on the market, including the Meta Quest range of devices, as it is a device-independent technology. The Metaverse Hub, a venue dedicated to Web3, augmented reality, and metaverse activities, will be used by Telefonica to develop initiatives that will include this technology.The Metaverse's Two BrandsThese two businesses have long been interested in the metaverse and augmented reality technology; they have even made investments and formed relationships there. The metaverse, according to Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm, will present a huge opportunity for the companies involved. The business and Meta recently finalised a contract for the development of silicon designed specifically for use in Meta's upcoming line of headsets.Additionally, Telefonica has already worked on metaverse initiatives. Through its open innovation platform Wayra, the corporation made an undisclosed investment in the Spanish open world Gamium.
