<p>After first defining Web3 Engine and expressing its ambition to provide technical support to power up the Web3 world, Rangers Protocol has pushed the concept one step forward by proposing a complete Web3 Engine <a href="https://medium.com/rangersprotocol/rangers-protocols-web3-engine-layout-437b2f1e1699" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">layout</a>. The layout serves as a blueprint and a roadmap, aiming to offer a practical approach to building a comprehensive Web3 Engine. With actions taken and milestones reached, the past few months have witnessed the progressive realization of such a vision.</p><p><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/cb31848f9f604a48906b47aa84a04514.jpeg" /></p><h2 id="header-0">The Four-Layer Web3 Engine Layout</h2><p>Rangers Protocol was the first in the industry to fully recognize the significance of a Web3 Engine in promoting the development of the Web3 world. As the exact definition indicates, a Web3 Engine should provide “decentralized infrastructures, data management, standardized IDEs, and comprehensive interoperability which enable efficient Dapp development in a particular industry.” To fully facilitate such an engine, Rangers Protocol has dissected and integrated these prerequisites into a more inclusive and instructively important four-layer layout.</p><p><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/bd186b70f1d54c248c427d8e5898bb43.png" /></p><p>The four essential layers for a Web3 Engine – built from bottom to the top – are blockchain, infrastructure/IDE, in-app services, and open world/interoperability.</p><p>Blockchain is at the root of the entire Web3 Engine as it is where other infrastructure and Dapps are built upon. Above the blockchain layer is the Infrastructure/IDE layer, which serves high efficiency and superior quality for Dapp development. The next layer is the in-app services layer, the one that provides NFTs and DeFi services for various Dapps to integrate based on their needs. And the uppermost layer is open world/interoperability. This layer illustrates a vision of the ultimate interoperability a full-fledged Web3 engine can facilitate, where NFTs, assets, data, etc. are not only mobilizable across chains but also flows freely between Web2 and Web3, on-chain and off-chain, as well as reality and cyberspace.</p><p>In the last few months, Rangers Protocol has been witnessing encouraging progress in the construction and improvement of the above layers, well represented by the deployment of DeHeroGame, integration of UniPass, collaboration with Canoe, as well as the new batch of toolsets deployed on Rangers Mainnet.</p><h2 id="header-1">A User-and-Developer Friendly Engine: Partnerships and Toolset Launches</h2><p>Rangers Protocol has long been dedicated to the construction of the blockchain and has laid concrete foundations for infrastructures and Dapps with its robust Rangers Mainnet, interoperable Rangers Connector, and compatible REVM even before the Web3 Engine concept came into being.</p><p>After sharing ideas on the more comprehensive layout, Rangers Protocol moved forward to improving higher infrastructure/IDE and in-app services layers. Being the first Dapp deployed on Rangers Protocol network, the game has attracted a sizable number of users for both sides. In the near future, the collaboration will further introduce an NFT marketplace to facilitate convenient commerce between players while also enhancing the functional and social value of their assets. With the in-game marketplace, players will be able to purchase new assets, sell their unique items, and engage in cross-chain activities more easily, and Rangers Protocol’s strong NFT capability under the in-app services layer will be well-demonstrated.</p><p><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/f05c552ba25d4f60aca07cae6722722b.png" /></p><h3 id="unipass">UniPass</h3><p>The feature of the DeFi wallet under the same layer has also been realized and acknowledged through integration with the non-custodial wallet UniPass. The wallet lowers the on-ramp threshold for mass users, reduces the integration difficulty for dapp developers, and facilitates the Web3 transformation of Web2 social applications. DeHeroGame has also been integrated with a customized version of UniPass, allowing easier access to the game with traditional email registration and login service.</p><p>While the partnerships with DeHero and UniPass maximize the user experience of Dapps from an in-app services level, the new toolsets and collaboration with Canoe minimize the development difficulty for Web3 developers and are still under constant upgrading to provide the best usability from an infrastructure/IDE level.</p><h3 id="new-toolsets">New Toolsets</h3><p>For the infrastructure/IDE layer, Rangers Protocol has launched a set of new <a href="https://rangersprotocol.com/tools.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">toolsets</a> to create better experiences for developers and mass users.</p><p>For example, the <a href="https://medium.com/rangersprotocol/oracle-function-launched-on-rangers-protocol-f52f7a339a94" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">oracle</a> tool helps the developers obtain real-time prices of various tokens in USD, including BTC, ETH, MIX, and RPG, through its free API to conduct a wide array of commercial activities. <a href="https://medium.com/rangersprotocol/rangers-scan-releases-on-rangers-protocol-mainnet-84c0500f24f5" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Rangers Scan</a>, a blockchain explorer and cross-chain data query tool, is also deployed to help record all blockchain operations on Rangers Protocol so that every transaction can be traceable.</p><p>There are also tools developed in response to the most concerning issues in today’s blockchain industry, such as <a href="https://medium.com/rangersprotocol/rangers-protocol-upgrades-its-cross-chain-tool-66ba13d93aee" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Rangers Bridge</a>, a cross-chain tool that removes the cross-chain communication barriers by supporting both FT and NFTs from an infrastructure level; and <a href="https://medium.com/rangersprotocol/rangers-protocol-newly-releases-a-multi-signature-safe-solution-2e98f21adc32" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Grand Guard</a>, a multi-signature safe solution designed to assist businesses and mass users manage their blockchain assets in a more straightforward yet secure manner.</p><p><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/20296665e9f74189a15bd6f10ddad1e0.png" /></p><h3 id="canoe-finance">Canoe Finance</h3><p>In addition, Rangers Protocol&#39;s strategic cooperation with Canoe Finance is expected to lead to yet another improvement in the infrastructure/IDE layer.
