<p><strong>Sustainability is the key word for us here at Qlindo.</strong></p><p>Various world countries have agreed as part of the Paris agreement to pursue efforts to limit global warming significantly below 2 degrees Celsius, preferably to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels. To achieve this goal, countries must reduce their greenhouse gas emissions to ‘net zero’ by around 2050 in all sectors. However, current statistics state that nearly 50 percent of annual global CO2 emissions are generated by the real estate sector, and building operations contribute 27 percent to this annually, while building materials and construction (embodied carbon) are responsible for an additional 20 percent per year.
