In line with our <a href="https://medium.com/aelfblockchain/aelf-roadmap-highlighted-technology-upgrade-and-ecology-development-d51a334fb542" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">roadmap</a>, aelf will start catering to organizations and users who are interested in participating in node elections on Oct. 25th. We will increasingly invite a total of 17 Production Nodes (BPs) to aelf mainnet in 2021 Q4. In this primary stage, we will start to collect information, offer consulting services, and help with technological and docking issues. If you are interested in building your own node on aelf, please contact us by our support email at support&#64;aelf.io.The preparation aims to secure the safety and stability of the aelf mainnet. Based on <a href="https://aelf.com/gridcn/aelf_Economic_and_Governance_Whitepaper_v1.1.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">aelf Economics and Governance whitepaper</a>, candidate nodes need to stake at least 100,000 ELF. Once won the seat as a block producer (BP), the node needs to devote itself to BP’s work. If there is no block produced within 72 hours, its qualification as a BP will automatically be eliminated, and the staked 100,000 ELF will be destroyed.<h2 id="header-0">Who should participate?</h2>We encourage all the candidate nodes to contact us as long as the minimum requirements are met:1. Stake at least 100,000 ELF2. Have a server to run a node, while being able to maintain (detail requirements on software and hardware are attached below)3.
