The long-term vision of the project is to first launch the XRGB protocol, an asset interoperability and liquidity protocol for the Bitcoin ecosystem. XRGB facilitates the movement of Bitcoin assets between Bitcoin and its layer2 solutions through a decentralized message transmission mechanism, making it easy for Bitcoin assets to circulate between them.
Next, we will release the XRGB BTC layer 2 chain, which implements the XRGB protocol. With the cooperation of components like relayers, vaults, and light clients, it will bring all valuable assets on Bitcoin, such as BTC, BRC20, SRC20, RGB20, etc., onto various layer2 chains in a decentralized manner. This will enhance the usability, accessibility, and liquidity of the Bitcoin blockchain. Additionally, native assets on the XRGB chain can be mapped back to the Bitcoin mainnet.
RGB20 and RGB21 represent a new type of Bitcoin asset. Beyond RGB and BRC20 assets, the XRGB platform will also support other mainstream assets from the BTC ecosystem, with the goal of integrating all BTC ecosystem liquidity.
Our ultimate goal is to establish an XRGB BTC layer 2 chain that can easily bring all valuable assets on Bitcoin onto the chain in a decentralized way. This will introduce various functionalities on the chain and improve the overall transactions per second (TPS). It will also allow some valuable assets to be applied back to the Bitcoin mainnet.
Therefore, our long-term objective centers around the XRGB protocol, bringing all Bitcoin assets, including RGB assets, to layer 2. This involves not only enhancing TPS but also maximizing privacy, which is a key feature of RGB. We aim to fully leverage privacy on our XRGB platform.
