About N-Word Pass

There is a good reason why online moderators are colloquially called “janitors” – moderation isn’t easy. The essential challenge of online moderation comes from the thousand-shades-of-grey that characterize the online world. It isn’t a difficult decision to ban a user who is actively coordinating terrorist attacks against a (legitimate) government. Rather, the difficult cases are those involving edgelords: users who treat the online world like a game of Blackjack, trying to get as close as possible to the boundaries of acceptability (or legality) without crossing them, just as a Blackjack player attempts to gain as close to 21 points as possible, but no more.

The N-Word Pass token solves these issues by allowing graded penalties to be applied to online forum users. Any online forum can create an BSC-20-compatible escrow system by which users deposit tokens into a forum wallet. These tokens may then be subtracted from the accounts of rule violators (in amounts proportionate to the severity of their violations or degree of recidivism), and then either burned or redistributed to productive forum contributors. The high granularity of N-Word Pass tokens allows exceptional flexibility in moderation approach.

The world economy has undergone several great transitions: from hunting-and-gathering to subsistence agriculture to the industrial age to the age of financial instruments such as stocks and bonds. We believe that those alive today are on the cusp of another financial revolution, in which we will transition to an N-word-pass-based economy: an economic system where the primary store-of-value is an individual’s right to say the N-word.
