Adventure Gold (AGLD) is an ERC-20 token that originated from the Loot non-fungible token (NFT) project. Loot, created by Vine co-founder Dom Hofmann, is a unique text-based collection of randomized adventure gear stored on-chain. The project intentionally lacks a front-end interface, images, or predefined functionality, consisting of 8,000 text-based NFTs open to community interpretation.
Initially launched on September 2, 2021, AGLD allowed each Loot NFT owner to claim 10,000 tokens for free. This airdrop became incredibly valuable, worth up to $70,000 per NFT in the early days of trading. AGLD's founder, Will Papper, aimed to establish a standard currency for the decentralized gaming universe built around Loot.
As the project evolved, AGLD has become the ecosystem, governance, and gas token for Adventure Layer, a Layer 2 solution customized for Fully Onchain Games (FOCG). The Adventure Layer, an upgrade to the original Loot Chain launched in June 2023, incorporates advanced features like sharding, tick-based parallel execution, and an ECS game engine. MIR is the governance token of Mirror Protocol, a synthetic assets protocol built by Terraform Labs (TFL) on the Terra blockchain.

Mirror Protocol is decentralized from day 1, with the on-chain treasury and code changes governed by holders of the MIR token. TFL has no intention of keeping or selling MIR tokens, and there are no admin keys or special access privileges granted. The intent for this is to be a completely decentralized, community-driven project.

Mirrored assets are blockchain tokens that behave like "mirror" versions of real-world assets by reflecting the exchange prices on-chain. They give traders the price exposure to real assets while enabling fractional ownership, open access and censorship resistance as any other cryptocurrency. Unlike traditional tokens which serve to represent a real, underlying asset, mAssets are purely synthetic and only capture the price movement of the corresponding asset.

By utilizing the blockchain, orders volume is simply represented as a number on the blockchain, so there is no need for the intermediary bundling process.

Nearly-Instantaneous Order Execution: Oftentimes due to the lack of liquidity (price-time-priority order book algorithm), orders can take up to a day to fully execute. Given the fact that Mirror relies on liquidity provided by each individual asset pool, orders can be executed as fast as the blocktime of the network (~ 6 seconds).

The Metcalfe phase of the updated roadmap pursues an ambitious goal of creating the world’s largest verifiable web for AI consisting of 100 billion Knowledge Assets, bringing a 100.000x scalability increase. As the name of the phase suggests, it will seek to produce network effects across the OriginTrail DKG and use novel techniques to pursue autonomous DKG growth based on the genesis knowledge foundation being created by organizations and individuals alike. The genesis part of the Metcalfe’s phase also introduces knowledge mining and knowledge signaling capabilities to drive constant growth of the Verifiable Web.

Following the Genesis stage and the transition to an AI-native V8, further capabilities will become available in the Convergence stage. By leveraging the advancements in AI and the DKG, we will unlock autonomous knowledge mining which in turn leads to an autonomous DKG. At that stage, new knowledge gets added to the DKG with very limited human involvement.
