<p style="text-align: justify"><a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/crypto-watch-bitcoin-and-altcoins-remain-steady-amidst-rising-us-debt-ceiling-concerns/" data-wpel-link="internal" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Cryptocurrency</a> <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/finance/" data-wpel-link="exclude" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">market</a> education projects continue to draw interest. Accordingly, the hardware wallet company Trezor has launched a new educational project in Africa to promote the global movement towards <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/bitcoins-weekly-gain-signals-positive-momentum-whats-next/" data-wpel-link="internal" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> education. The company announced that the Trezor Academy was officially launched at the Trezor-supported Africa Bitcoin Conference held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, on December 4.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="trezor-academy-takes-a-noteworthy-step">Trezor Academy Takes a Noteworthy Step</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">Trezor Academy stands out as an educational program focused on spreading awareness of Bitcoin in Africa. The program, which was initially started as a pilot in the year 2023, aims to conduct face-to-face meetings managed by Bitcoin experts living in the country and provide a platform for citizens to learn about Bitcoin’s potential.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">According to a blog post published by Trezor, Trezor Academy took its first steps in Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda, Burundi, and Kenya during its pilot phase. The company aims to establish academies in more than ten new African countries throughout 2024 and empower educators to teach about Bitcoin. Trezor CEO Matej Zak commented on the subject:</p>

 <p style="text-align: justify">“The adoption of Bitcoin is possibly more significant in Africa than any other continent. Specifically, various benefits can be provided related to local initiatives with Bitcoin, such as payment plans, microfinance, and savings.”</p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="trezor-s-support-for-bitcoineta">Trezor’s Support for Bitcoineta</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">As part of the educational program Trezor started in Africa, the company also finances Bitcoineta, a Bitcoin-themed project dedicated to spreading Bitcoin awareness in the West African region. The Bitcoineta awareness program was initially launched in 2018 by the nonprofit organizations Bitcoin Argentina and Bitcoin Americana, and its name is a combination of Bitcoin and the Spanish word for minivan, ‘camioneta’.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">According to Trezor officials, the Africa Bitcoineta campaign started in conjunction with Ghana’s Bitcoin education initiative Bitcoin Cowries. As part of the campaign, a car involved in the Bitcoineta project will travel across the Economic Community of West African States, bringing education about Bitcoin to rural communities and schools in the region.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">According to an announcement written by the company, the journey of Africa Bitcoineta began on December 1.
