<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Starknet said that STRK, the native token of the Ethereum layer-2 blockchain, will be airdropped to around 1.3 million eligible wallets on Feb. 20.</span></p> 
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The long awaited arrival of the STRK token will be used to fuel “community participation and project governance,” the <a href="https://www.starknet.io/en">Starknet Foundation</a> said in a press release.</span></p> 
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 782 million-token airdrop will be sent to <a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/news/nethermind-announces-that-it-transpiled-uniswap-v3-onto-starknet-using-warp">Starknet</a> users, developers, and contributors to the ecosystem. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The foundation attributes their eligibility to the fact that Starknet is secured by </span><a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/news/ethereum-price-prediction-eth-pumps-16-in-7-days-as-peter-thiel-fund-invests-100-million-and-this-gamefi-ico-soars-towards-9-million"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ethereum</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The airdrop is also the first event of its kind that non-Web3 users can qualify for. The foundation said that the reason behind this is “to set a new precedent in inclusivity.”</span></p> 
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Members of the crypto community who miss out on this airdrop will have another opportunity soon, as the foundation also mentioned that “there will be further provisions in the future.”</span></p> 
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Provisions celebrates our community’s hard work in showing how we can and should scale Ethereum for mass adoption,” said the CEO of Starknet Foundation, Diego Olivia, in the press release.</span></p>
