Ethereum’s Protocol Security (EPS) team announced a four-week “Attackathon” where security researchers will hunt for vulnerabilities in the blockchain’s code. This time-bound audit challenge aims to improve protocol security, with impactful and compliant reports being rewarded. 
The event kicks off with a technical walkthrough of the blockchain’s code to ensure participants are well-prepared. With a $2 million prize pool, Ethereum plans to conduct similar events for every future hard fork to enhance its security measures.
