#Coinbase Rolls Out Stocks and #PredictionMarkets

Coinbase has unveiled comprehensive expansion into equities, derivatives, #DeFi, and payments infrastructure as competition intensifies from fintech apps and global platforms.

The exchange rolled out commission-free stock trading to United States users through Coinbase Capital Markets Corp, allowing customers to manage equities and exchange-traded funds alongside crypto holdings. Trading operates 24 hours daily, five days weekly, for select stocks using dollars or USDC within single accounts.

The platform will add thousands of additional stocks over the coming months while preparing stock-linked perpetual futures for non-U.S. users. Coinbase #Tokenize will support tokenized real-world asset issuance and management for institutions, with equities details expected in 2026.

Prediction markets were launched through a partnership with Kalshi, enabling event-based contract trading with $1 minimum using dollars or $USDC. Positions display alongside existing crypto, equities, and cash balances within the app.
