$ETH Fusaka Upgrade Drops Today!
Big day for
$ETH fans - the Fusaka upgrade goes live today, December 3, 2025! This isn’t just another update. Fusaka is set to make Ethereum faster, cheaper, and way more powerful, especially for Layer 2 networks like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base.
The headline feature, PeerDAS, will let validators verify blockchain data by sampling just a small portion instead of downloading everything - think of it like checking a few random pages in a book instead of reading the whole thing. This slashes validator bandwidth by 85%, opening the door for more transactions, lower fees, and greater decentralization.
For users, this could mean Layer 2 transaction fees dropping 40-60%, making DeFi trades, NFTs, and other activities much cheaper. Ethereum itself is getting a boost too: the block gas limit jumps from 36M to 60M, letting more transactions and complex smart contracts happen directly on the mainnet.
Developers also benefit - cleaner smart contracts, new tools, and support for mobile-friendly signatures that could one day let you interact with Ethereum just using Face ID or your fingerprint.
Fusaka is more than a technical upgrade. It’s Ethereum scaling up in style, ready to handle over 100,000 transactions per second across Layer 2s, lower barriers for home validators, and pave the way for bigger, bolder dApps. Today marks a big step toward a faster, cheaper, and more decentralized Ethereum!
