#DappRadar Closes Down After 7 Years, Cites Financial Struggles

#DappRadar will cease operations after seven years of tracking decentralized applications across #blockchains. Founders Skirmantas Januškas and Dragos Dunica announced the shutdown Monday on social media platform X, stating that running a platform of this scale became financially unsustainable in the current environment.

The platform plans to stop tracking blockchains and DApps in the coming days. The team said it would communicate separately regarding how it will handle its native RADAR token and its decentralized autonomous organization.

The RADAR token price fell approximately 30% immediately following the shutdown announcement, reaching about $0.00072. DappRadar did not respond to requests for comment on specific plans for the token or DAO structure.

Launched in 2018, DappRadar provided analyses of major incidents including the $100 million exploit of decentralized exchange Balancer while tracking developments among DApps across multiple blockchains. In March, analytics reported a whale made millions using an exploit on Hyperliquid.
