#Trump Organization #Tokenizes Maldives Hotel for Early-Stage Investors
The Trump Organization will tokenize its Trump International Hotel Maldives development, allowing investors to purchase digital shares in the luxury resort from early construction stages. The project, developed in partnership with Saudi real estate firm Dar Global, will enable exposure during the earliest development phases rather than after completion.
The resort, located 25 minutes by speedboat from the capital Malé, will feature approximately 80 luxury beach and overwater villas. The property is scheduled to open by the end of 2028.
Eric Trump, executive vice president of The Trump Organization, stated the development will set a new benchmark for innovation in real estate investment through tokenization. Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global, characterized tokenizing the development as a global first that blends luxury, innovation and technology in a way that will transform how the world invests in hospitality.
The announcement follows #EricTrump's October interview with CoinDesk TV confirming real estate tokenization plans, including developing a building to be tokenized via #WLFI, the crypto platform with close links to the Trump family. The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to requests for comment on specific investment opportunities available through the tokenized model.
